Mbappe rape allegation cleared over lack of evidence

The rape probe into football superstar Kylian Mbappe has been shut down by Swedish cops.

A prosecutor said on Thursday she had closed an investigation into an alleged rape and sexual assault saying there was insufficient evidence.

Marina Chirakova said: “My assessment is that the evidence is not sufficient to proceed and the investigation is therefore closed.”

She also noted Mbappe had not been “notified of suspicion of a crime.”

Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reported in October the French forward was being investigated by cops after a visit to Stockholm.

In a post on X, Mbappe addressed the report saying: “FAKE NEWS !!!! It’s becoming so predictable, just before the hearing as if by chance.”

The Real Madrid player seemingly referred to a hearing in his post he was set to face over unpaid wages as he was leaving club PSG to his new team at Real Madrid.
