Alhaji Faruku Udulu, a top political ally to the former minister of justice, Abubakar Malami, has defected to the ruling All progressives congress (APC).
Udulu was seen in a video announcing his defection to the ruling party before Usman Sani Tungu and a host of other strong APC stalwarts.
“We had a long-standing relationship with Kebbi governor, Nasir Idris, and he have been consistent in our relationship hence my reason to join his team to move the state forward”, he said amid cheers.
As the clock ticks towards 2027, the political atmosphere in Kebbi state is already tensed with intermittent cross carpeting in preparation for the governorship elections.

The sitting governor, Idris will bank on his generosity and critical infrastructure he has put in place within two years in office while Malami in the opposition may bank on the coalition.
