Kebbi State Police Command on Saturday dismissed as fake news allegations by one ex-Kebbi corps member that it has after rescuing one Ezechukwu from kidnappers, detained him in Kebbi orphanage home.
The Command’s image maker CSP Nafiu Abubakar , in a statement said that the claim of the ex-corps member is a lie from the pit of hell.
“Police is a responsible organization with a primary duty to protect the lives and property of Nigerians regardless of their religion and tribe”.
He added that the allegations are not only fictitious but a ploy to tarnish the good image Kebbi Police Command.
“We therefore reject it in totality, and we will remain focused in the discharge of our primary duties in Nigeria”, he said.
The statement also warned fake news peddlers to desist, saying the force will not hesitate to use legal means to deal with such type of people.
He urged the public to disregard the allegations and treat it as fake news.
