Nentawe, other APC leaders storm Plateau

There was great jubilation in Plateau State on Wednesday when the new national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda alongside members of the party’s national working committee, state governors under the platform of APC storm Jos, the state capital.

Nentawe and his entourage were received by the APC chairman of the Plateau State, Hon. Rufus Bature, members of his working committee and the Plateau State House of Assembly led by the Speaker Daniel Naanlong.

The APC leaders also met with the Plateau State Traditional Council chaired by the Gbong Gwom Jos, HRH Da Jacob Gyang Buba, as well as Christian and Muslim leaders in the state.

Recall that Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda who hails from Plateau State became the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress on July 24, 2025 following the exit of the erstwhile chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje who resigned his appointment.

Yilwatda previously served as the minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development from October 2024 to July 2025, and he was the flag bearer for APC in the 2023 gubernatorial election in Plateau State.
