The Kebbi state chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) on Tuesday hailed effective youth policies of the former Nigeria’s late President Muhammadu Buhari.
The chairman, Comrade Ahmed Abubakar Khalifa, in a statement described late President Buhari as a champion whose youth policies still impacting positively on Nigerians.
According to him, Nigerian youths will remember late president as one who signed into law the ‘Not Too Young To Run Bill’ which he said produced youth as legislators at both upper and lower chambers of the National Assembly.
Notable among his youth-friendly policies include Npower Programme, GEEP, YES, and other social intervention policies which the youth benefitted.
He revealed that Nigerian youths will also remember late Buhari for N75bn Youth Survival Fund, special public works programme facilitated by the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) and a host of other youth related policies which the impact are still being felt by Nigerian youths.
As Kebbi youth mourns his demise, they will also remember him for the Marketmoni, Ease of Doing Business which encouraged local content, HYPADEC Water Scheme in Yauri Kebbi State, minimum implementation and engineering reforms.
“On behalf of NYCN Kebbi, I hereby condole with President Bola Tinubu, Nigerians and former members of the first family. May Allah grant him eternal rest”, he prayed.
