Labour Party releases delegates’ lists ahead FCT Council primaries

The event would start by 9:00am at Monalisa Hall, Top Rank Hotel Utako, Abuja while delegates were asked to come along with their party membership card and voter’s card

The Labour Party has released lists of delegates expected to participate in the Saturday, June 28 primary election across the six area councils that make up the Federal Capital Territory ahead of February 2026.

The lists were released Friday night comprising of 20 delegates from each ward. For the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), the publicity secretary of the LP in FCT, Eyisi Okey Nwoke revealed that the event would start by 9:00am at Monalisa Hall, Top Rank Hotel Utako, Abuja while delegates were asked to come along with their party membership card and voter’s card.

The Labour Party had on Tuesday elected councillorship candidates across the FCT and slated to hold the chairmanship on June 28, 2025.

Recall that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had on Wednesday elected their own chairmanship flagbearers which saw incumbent chairman of AMAC, Christopher Zakka Maikalangu emerging winner.
