Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has directed early payment of June salaries to civil servants, Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) staff, and pensioners across the state.

In a statement by press secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Bawa, June salary payment would commence on Monday, June 2.

The statement further said the payment will cover state and local government workers, LGEA staff, and pensioners.

The early payment aims to enable civil servants to purchase sacrificial animals and prepare for the Eid-el-Kabir festival.

Governor Aliyu, currently in Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage, urged civil servants to reciprocate the government’s goodwill through dedication and commitment to duty.

This gesture marks the third time the administration has made such a move to support civil servants during festive periods.
