The College of Agriculture, Sciences and Technology, Bauchi, has taken a giant leap into the digital age with the implementation of a range of innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of education, research, agricultural technology and meeting modern standards.
Dr Ahmad Isah, Provost of the College stated this in an interview with newsmen in Bauchi, yesterday.
He said the institution has installed 24-hour solar lighting in its library, clinic, and ICT facilities, providing students with a conducive learning environment.
Dr Ahmad added that the College has centralized and automated its academic records on its portal for convenient access, transparency, and security.
The provost further said the state government, through the Ministry of Youths and Sports, is collaborating with the College to establish an Athletic Academy on the premises, providing students with opportunities to develop their athletic skills alongside their academic pursuits.
According to him, the College’s Innovation Center, set to launch in the upcoming semester, will provide dual certifications to graduating students, offering various programs focused on entrepreneurial skills and certifications.
“The College has also established partnerships with several organizations such as National Power Institute (NAPTIN), SMEDAN, and the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRD), the Centre for Information and Technology Development (CITAD), among others to facilitate this endeavor.
Dr Ahmad expressed gratitude to the Governor Bala Mohammed, for his unwavering support, which has enabled the College to achieve these milestones.
“The Governor has been very supportive and allocated funds for accrediting all programs, and granted approval for accrediting four additional programs,” he said.
