The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has completed the renovation and facelift of facilities at the Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko Hajj Terminal, Sultan Abubakar III International Airport, Sokoto.
This thorough preparation ensures a seamless airlift of pilgrims scheduled for May 9.
The agency’s management, led by chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the terminal’s facilities, including toilets, reception, VIP lounge, and security counters.
Head of Information and Communication of the agency, Faruk Umar, in a statement said the inspection was witnessed by airport manager, Alhaji Nasiru Isiyaka and his team.
Alhaji Aliyu Musa stated that the agency has fulfilled its promise of making the terminal habitable before the commencement of the airlift.
He was accompanied by acting executive secretary, Alhaji Ladan Ibrahim and directors of Operations and Finance, Alhaji Abubakar Chika and Alhaji Nasiru Abubakar.
The agency’s proactive measures demonstrate its commitment to ensuring the comfort and well-being of Sokoto State pilgrims embarking on the holy pilgrimage.
With the terminal now ready, the agency is poised to facilitate a smooth and successful airlift operation.
