UNIZIK expels TikToker-student for assaulting lecturer

The letter stated that Chimamaka was found guilty of gross misconduct and violating the university’s Student Disciplinary Regulations, specifically Regulation 4.

365Daily – The  management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) has expelled a student, identified as a TikToker, for physically assaulting a lecturer.

In an expulsion letter dated Thursday, February 13, 2025, the university’s Acting Registrar, Victor Modebelu, confirmed the decision, which was addressed to the student, Chimamaka.

According to Modebelu, the expulsion followed a report submitted by the Student Disciplinary Committee to the Acting Vice-Chancellor regarding Chimamaka’s assault on a lecturer from the Department of Theatre and Film Studies.

The letter stated that Chimamaka was found guilty of gross misconduct and violating the university’s Student Disciplinary Regulations, specifically Regulation 4.

“As a result, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the University Senate, has approved the Committee’s recommendation for your expulsion. You are hereby expelled from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka,” the letter read.
