ASUU hails Kebbi governor ovèr swift implementation of minimum wage

We commend you for swiftly responding to our request for the implementation of minimum wage; your attitudes show that you are a listening leader

The Kebbi State University of Science and Technology Aliero, KSUSTA, chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has commended Kebbi State governor, Dr Nasir Idris, for his swift response to their call for 2024 salary consequential adjustment implementation.

The state chairman of the union, Dr Abubakar Birnin Yauri, in a statement he signed and made available to journalist in Birnin Kebbi, Friday, described the implementation of the minimum wage as morale booster and a call for more aggressive work in terms of academic excellence.

“We commend you for swiftly responding to our request for the implementation of minimum wage; your attitudes show that you are a listening leader”.

ASUU, however, appeal to the governor for to pay three months arrears of the implemented minimum wage, yearly increment, 2022 staff promotion and other entitlements.

The union also lauded the vice chancellor of the university and the management for infrastructure in the university and other staff welfare ” we will work closely with the vice chancellor and his management to ensure the university attain greater heights in terms of academic excellence he concluded.
