Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, Monday, departed for Dubai, United Arab Emirates to attend the 2024 GITEX GLOBAL Summit.
According to a statement by Isaac Uzaan, Alia’s Principal Special Assistant on Media, the summit which started Monday will end Friday, October 18.
He further explained that GITEX GLOBAL is the largest tech and startup event in the world which is rated globally by tech executives as the best tech event in the world for global networking and ecosystem innovation development.
Uzaan said this year’s theme, “Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy,” highlights the global efforts and commitment to harnessing AI’s transformative capabilities for the betterment of humanity, societies, governments, and businesses.
He said the submit will explore macroeconomic and geopolitical factors shaping tech policy, regulation, and investment, adding that Governor Alia’s engagements with the public and private sector participants and visiting delegations will open new collaborative opportunities for his government to create a most competitive outcome conducive to his strategic development plan.
The statement added that delegates attending the summit alongside with the governor include, Kwaghgba Amanda, Commissioner for Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, Angula Bishop Reuben, Private Secretary/PSA to the Governor on ICT & New Media, Gbande Hembaor Terwase, DG, Benue Digital Infrastructure Company,BDIC,and Zaki Asen, Adviser to the Governor on International & Global Partnerships
