365Daily – The wife of Binance executive, Tigran Gambaryan, has expressed deep concern over her husband’s condition, while issuing a heartfelt plea for justice after his latest bail application was denied on Friday.
Tigran’s family and legal team are urging Nigerian authorities to reconsider the decision before his condition becomes irreparable.
Despite presenting medical evidence of his deteriorating health, the court has repeatedly declined several bail requests for the defendant.
Tigran’s wife, Yuki Gambaryan, while speaking on her husband’s condition, said he suffers from a severe herniated disc, leaving him unable to walk unaided.
“Tigran’s health is worsening in Kuje Prison, where medical facilities are inadequate to provide the specialised treatment he desperately needs,” she said.
She added that several doctors, including the prison’s medical personnel, have confirmed that Tigran requires urgent specialised care, which the prison cannot offer.
Yuki lamented the injustice of denying her husband proper medical attention, saying, “It is unjust to deny someone in Tigran’s condition the opportunity to seek medical help. I just pray that the damage he is suffering isn’t irreversible by the time he is released.”
“This decision raises serious concerns about the fairness of the judicial process and the protection of basic human rights,” she added.
Despite the rejection of bail, the trial continued with the cross-examination of a Central Bank witness in the ongoing Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) proceedings.
