With Amokachi’s appointment which also takes immediate effect, management is optimistic that with his coming on board, the club will revitalize its strategy and improve performance on the field
The management of Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi has revealed that the reason for appointing former Super Eagles coach, Daniel Amokachi, is so that the club will revitalize its strategy and improve performance on the field as he brings his wealth of experience in the round-leather game.
A statement by the club’s head of media, Emmanuel Uja, Sunday, in Makurdi, said decision of the major shakeup followed the Board’s review of erstwhile coach, Eugene Agagbe’s failure to meet a five-match win target which he managed only one victory while losing three.
“With Amokachi’s appointment which also takes immediate effect, management is optimistic that with his coming on board, the club will revitalize its strategy and improve performance on the field”.
He also revealed in the statement that all backroom staff have been equally relieved of their duties and instructed to reapply if they wish to continue with the club.
Uja also announced that the board has asked those affected by this shakeup to hand over all club property in their possession to the club’s secretary immediately.
