365Daily – Ogbaru Local Government Area in Anambra State is agog with the news of the honours its sons have brought upon the land.
It has been all smiles on the faces of majority of the people as one of them, Joseph Nwosu, who hails from Ochuche Umuodu in Ogbaru, was recognised as the best teacher in Nigeria during the 2024 Teachers’ Day celebrations.
For this prestigious honour, he was awarded a brand-new car.
Nwosu, fondly known as Joe Newton, also serves as the Employment and Empowerment Assistant to the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Somtochukwu Nkem Udeze.
His dedication to education and community empowerment has earned him national acclaim and recognition.
In like manner, another son of the land, Fabian Arinze Ugboma, has been declared Mister Tourism Africa 2024.
Ugboma, who hails from Ossomala in Ogbaru, won Nigeria’s first ever Mister Tourism Africa award by edging out his South African counterpart in the final round of the contest.
The new Mister Tourism Africa is the first winner in the newly created category, and surpassed nine other finalists to clinch the top male honour. He was awarded $1,000 in recognition of his impressive performance and commitment to promoting tourism in Nigeria and across Africa.
