365Daily – The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has condoled the family of a former Majority Leader of the Senate, Senator Jonathan Zwingina, over the demise.
Zwingina, who died on Wednesday in Abuja at the age of 70, was the Director-General of the MKO Abiola Campaign Organisation in the June 12, 1993 presidential election.
The late lawmaker, who represented Adamawa South Senatorial District in the Senate, was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and later defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a press statement signed by the Special Adviser to the speaker, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, on Friday, October 4, 2024, Abass described the late Senator as a notable politician and lawmaker who gave his best in service to his district, state, and country.
