Spraying of money: Lawyer tackles Sokoto governor for detaining Tambuwal’s aide

Tureta was also accused of sharing a document that purportedly showed that Aliyu scored F9 in English Language in the senior school certificate examination

A legal practitioner, Barrister Almustapha Yusuf Abubakar has faulted Sokoto State governor, Ahmed Aliyu over the detention of Shafi’u Umar Tureta, – the special assistant on local and digital media to former governor of the state, Senator Aminu Tambuwal

Tureta accused the governor’s wife of spraying money during her birthday and alleging that the governor scored F9 in English Language in his senior school certificate examination result.

Abubakar wondered why the Governor Aliyu should be fighting a citizen for saying the truth instead of tackling the hunger and insecurity bedeviling the state.

Recall that on Monday, Magistrate Court 1 in Sokoto headed by Chief Magistrate Fati Hassan remanded one Shafi’u Umar Tureta for circulating a video alleging that wife of Sokoto State governor, Ahmad Aliyu, was spraying Dollar during her birthday celebration.
