There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating, and there is no recorded injury or body harm to all our staff on duty

Few days after accusing international oil companies of sabotage, there was fire incidence at Dangote refinery in Lagos on Wednesday.
This is according to the spokesperson of the company, Anthony Chiejina, in a statement issued on Wednesday.
Despite the fire disaster, Chiejina said public should not panic as the refinery’s operation had continued, without interruptions.
“There were no injuries or harm reported among the staff on duty.
“We have swiftly contained a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant (ETP) today, Wednesday, 26th of June. There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating, and there is no recorded injury or body harm to all our staff on duty,” Chiejina stated.
An Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) is a specialised wastewater treatment system designed to purify industrial wastewater, making it safe for reuse and ensuring that water released into the environment is free from harmful pollutants.
