Gov Alia to build hostels, sink boreholes for Benue school Apir

He also promised to drill two boreholes and install solar light at the premises of the school to provide for water and also light up the school environment

Two hostel blocks, a dining hall and a classroom block will soon be built at the Benue State Rehabilitation School Apir to address challenges of accommodation and provide a conducive learning environment for students.

Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia who disclosed, Monday, during a stopover at the school while coming back from a ‘Thank You Tour’, expressed total dissatisfaction with the present condition of things at the school and promised to immediately transform it and improve on the feeding of the students.

He also promised to drill two boreholes and install solar light at the premises of the school to provide for water and also light up the school environment, assuring the students that he is always there for them and would do everything possible to give them comfort.

In a remark, Executive Secretary, Benue State Rehabilitation Board, Alexander Mbakindev informed the Governor that the students of the school have no good accommodation.

On his part the store officer of the school, Orseer Iortyer who led Governor Alia round the school, showed him the dilapidated structures including hostels and dining hall of the school, informing him that some of the students sleep on the bare floor.
