Sokoto State Government has reemphasized its commitment to sacrifice anything for the security and development of the state.
The Deputy Governor’s Director of Press, Garba Muhammad said the deputy governor, Alhaji Idris Muhammad Gobir stated this during a Sallah homage to his Eminence Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar at his palace recently.
The deputy who spoke for the governor said concerted efforts are being made to ensure that farmers can access their farmlands for cultivation but lamented the economic hardships being encountered in the country, pointing out that the problem is global.
Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto said this was due to the governor’s commitment for the progress of the state in all facets of human developments.
He recalled that on many occasions, he has been directing to implement whatever will bring progress to the state.
He however expressed optimism that with sustained efforts and prayers, significant changes would be recorded.

Responding, the Sultan, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, assured of the Sultanate council’s readiness to support the state government’s efforts at improving the lot of the people.
The Sultan said the current administration has spent one year in office and people have seen the laudable development projects executed so far and called for more.
He also acknowledged the state government’s assistance to the state pilgrims currently in the Holy land
The Sultan used the opportunity to call on security agents to ensure protection of farmers while in their farm lands and also called on leaders at all levels to assist in reducing the hardship being faced by the people.
