365Daily – The three Fouani brothers abducted by gunmen in Lagos have been rescued, the Lagos State Police Command has said.

The three brothers, the boat captain and his assistant, were rescued in Orugbo Iddo Area in the Epe area of Lagos on Monday night.
Identified as Abbas Fouani, Youssef Fouani, and Amtal Fouani, they were abducted around 6pm on June 14, while on a boat around the Falomo Bridge, Ikoyi area of the state on Friday evening.
They were commuting from Apapa to Victoria Island. Lagos, on their way back from their factory.
According to the Lagos Police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the rescue was done by a combination of Marine Police and the Nigerian Navy forces.
“Our Marine Police with the support of the Nigerian Navy brought them to shore. Thereafter, our tactical team in the area took them home on Banana Island in the early hours of today,” he said.
SP Hundeyin, however, added that the police were not aware if any ransom was paid, and that no suspect had been apprehended in connection with the kidnap.
The boat conveying the victims was later recovered by the Police Marine Department in the Ikorodu area of Lagos a day after the kidnap on Saturday.
There were reports that the kidnappers established calls with the victim’s family, requesting $1.5m as ransom.
