Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has been commended by the Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Samaila Muhammad Mera for his giant strides in coming up with laudable initiatives to further develop the educational sector in the State.
Mera particularly eulogised the governor for the construction of a mega school in his Emirate which according to him would go a long way in addressing congestion in schools when fully completed and put to use.
The Emir made the commendation when the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi paid him a courtesy visit at his Palace in Argungu recently.
The royal father who reviewed the administration of Governor Nasir Idris in its first year in office, believed that the Kauran Gwandu-led administration performed well within a short period of time.
He said within a short period of 12 months, about 10 additional primary schools have been constructed in Argungu while junior secondary schools have also been expanded in his domain.
The monarch, while stressing the importance of education and the pedigree of Kauran Gwandu as an experience educationist and activist, emphatically believes that his experience in the education sector is working for him.

He expressed delight with the level of synergy and understanding between the governor and the traditional institutions in the state.
