I am delighted to receive you all, demonstrating our unity and dedication to Akwa Ibom’s progress, beyond party affiliations
In a gesture of unity and cooperation, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno reiterated their dedication to the state’s development, peace, and unity.
The reaffirmation came during a courtesy visit by Governor Eno and members of the National Assembly from Akwa Ibom, across party lines, to the Senate President’s residence.
The visit marked the Senate President’s first year in office and 25 years of uninterrupted democracy in Nigeria. Akpabio, joined by his wife Ekaette, expressed his commitment to working with the Governor and his administration, saying, “I am delighted to receive you all, demonstrating our unity and dedication to Akwa Ibom’s progress, beyond party affiliations.”
Governor Eno thanked the Senate President for his warm reception and reaffirmed his administration’s determination to collaborate with the Senate and Federal Government for the benefit of the people of Akwa Ibom, both at home and in the diaspora.
The visit was attended by serving and former members of the National Assembly, including Senator Ekong Sampson, Hon. Unyime Idem, Hon. Paul Ekpo, and others.
This gathering signifies a united front for the development and prosperity of Akwa Ibom State.
