Federal government has announced that the Federal University Lafia Teaching Hospital will soon commence operation in Nasarawa State.
Minister of Health and Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate who disclosed this when he received the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage during a thank you visit, said the federal government was committed to providing an enduring facilities needed for the health of its citizens.
The minister who appreciated the Emir for the visit, assured him that very soon the Federal University of Lafia Teaching Hospital will become a reality.
Professor Pate was however overwhelmed by the monarch’s exceptional leadership disposition and his track records in the nation’s judiciary.
He assured that there was no cause for alarm saying that the teaching hospital was a done-deal as he equally commended Hon Yusuf Jibrin Maiangwa for being a good ambassador of Nasarawa State in Abuja.
Earlier, the Emir of Lafia and Chairman Nasarawa State Traditional Council of Chiefs, Retired Justice Sidi Bage had commended President Bola Tinubu for placing Nasarawa State as one of the favoured states in his administration.

The visit according, to Emir of Lafia, was to officially thank the Minister of Health and Welfare for the good work he is doing in transforming the health sector in line with President Tinubu renewed Hope agenda.
The monarch also applauded Governor Abdullahi Sule for providing all the necessary enabling ground for the takeoff of Federal University Lafia Teaching Hospital as well as the former governor of the state, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura for sponsoring a bill, which gave rise to the teaching hospital when he was at the National Assembly.
Justice Bage expressed confidence that the teaching hospital, will no doubt, complement the state government’s efforts at providing quality and accessible healthcare services thereby creating job opportunities and bridging the gap of indigenous medical doctors in the state.
It would be recalled that the Federal University Lafia Teaching Hospital was approved by former President Muhammadu Buhari and Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Lafia was ceded to the federal government as permanent site for the takeoff.
