The preliminary round of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 will include the eight lowest-ranked teams.

365Daily – Preparations for the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025, will on Tuesday kick off with the draws on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 in Cairo, Egypt.
This is on the heels of the recently concluded 34th edition of TotalEnergies CAF AFCON tournament in Cote d’Ivoire, which was won by the host nation, while Nigeria and South Africa came second and third place respectively.
It will be conducted at 14h00 local time (12h00 GMT).
The preliminary round of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 will include the eight lowest-ranked teams according to the FIFA ranking: Somalia, Djibouti, Sao Tome, Chad, Mauritius, South Sudan, Liberia and Eswatini.
The matches will be played on home and away basis during the FIFA Window of March 18-26, 2024. The four (4) preliminary round winners will join the 44 exempted teams for the group stage.
