Going to war with Niger will end up being more like a civil war because millions of our people have families on both sides of the border

The former minister of Aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, has condemned President Bola Tinubu and the Economic Community of West African State, ECOWAS, over plans to invade Niger Republic in order to remove head of military junta, Brigade General Abdourahamane Tchiani, and restore ousted president, Mohamed Bazoum who has been in detention.
Fani-Kayode who is a staunch supporter of President Tinubu posted on his official Twitter handle that the decision to attack Niger is madness.
According to him, “Burkina Faso and Mali have deployed fighter jets to Niger to assist them in the event of an invasion. Russian Wagner forces have been deployed to Niamey to assist the junta in the event of an attack.
“ECOWAS commanders say the D-Day for an attack has been set. This is MADNESS! Worse still there are more Nigereins living in Nigeria than there are in Niger!
“Going to war with Niger will end up being more like a civil war because millions of our people have families on both sides of the border.
“Please ponder on that before the first shot is fired and we send our boys to the killing fields!”
Fani-Kayode, Festus Keyamo and Dele Alake were the notable voices speaking in favour of Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, after the declaration of presidential election result, which did not go down well with the rest of the political parties who accused the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, of taking sides.
Fani-Kayode has not been considered for ministerial position like the duo of Keyamo and Alake who have been appointed as ministers of Aviation, and Mines and Steel respectively.
Meanwhile some Nigerians have reacted to Fani-Kayode’s post, seeing him as a politician that talks from the two sides of his month.
“The most useless politician in the history of Nigeria, he talks from the both side of his mouth, last time I checked you are not the ECOWAS or presidential media person so shut-up your leaking mouth”,
Jon Snow.
“You no get Tinubu number? No be your guy? Call am for phone tell am, no dey disturb us abeg we dey focused on #AllEyeOnTheJudiciary”, says Myror.
“The first thought that cross my mind us what you speak. Thanks you for speaking up earlier”, Ibukun williams Oluwafemi.
