A 21-year-old man, Olaniyan Quadri, was, on Thursday, arraigned before a Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing a tricycle worth N1.8 million.
Quadri, whose address was not provided, is facing a count charge bordering on stealing.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Prosecutor, Insp Courage Ekhueorohan, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on May 3, at Shitta roundabout, Akerele, Surulere, Lagos.
Ekhueorohan said the defendant stole a tricycle, with registration number: MUS 743 QL, property of one Ogunyemi Bankole.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the section stipulates a three-year jail term for stealing.
The Magistrate, Mrs O. O. Otitoju, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300,000, with two sureties in like sum.
Otitoju said that the sureties must be gainfully employed and have their addresses verified by the court.
She, thereafter, adjourned the case till May 19 for mention.
