– Charge them to run a clean, issues-based campaign
The system and pattern used to create the different directorates were unprecedented given its spread, splits, inclusivity and networking related chains of operations
The Labour Party Candidate for Ogbaru Federal Constituency and a Former Member, House of Representatives (2011-2015), Hon. Afam Victor Ogene (Akunnia) officially inaugurated his campaign organization yesterday, amid pomp and peagentry.
The epoch-making event which took place at Ruchem Beach Hotel, Odo Rubber along Atani -Ossomala Road, Ogbaru, recorded a myriad crowd of his supporters, party officials, community leaders, youth leaders, leaders of non-indigenes resident in Ogbaru communities and other stakeholders.
Noteworthy, is that the members of the campaign organization were carefully and meticulously selected based on merit, capacity, passion, credibility and result delivery oriented factors.
Again, the system and pattern used to create the different directorates were unprecedented given its spread, splits, inclusivity and networking related chains of operations.
Hon. Ogene, the incoming Rep. member for Ogbaru Federal Constituency, an astute leader with enormous capacity, embedded with wealth of professional and political experience, brought these qualities to bear as he practically simplified the duties of the campaign organization by reducing the job burden of the two constituencies hitherto matched together, having duplicated the organs for the two constituencies.
These two constituencies are now to be manned through consensus by acceptable grassroots mobilizers and seasoned politicians.
For Ogbaru Constituency 1, Hon. Afam Ogene’s campaign organization is ably led by a Director- General, Chief David Chukwuekezie, with a seasoned political player, Mr. Amechi Edeh as his deputy, alongside a retinue of other directors overseeing different directorates.
Similarly, Ogbaru Constituency 2, is ably led by a DG, an indefatigable, impeccable and credible leader of proven reputation, the current Chairman, Ogbaru Flood Committee and Anambra North Deputy Zonal Co – ordinator, OBIDATTI Campaign Council, Chief Ben. Ogochukwu Nwasike (Uti na Atani) and Hon. Austine Njoku (Austraco), as Deputy DG, while Hon. Odogwu Uwaeze (Akalam) is to serve as Campaign Co-ordinator, alongside other tested and trusted directors.
Our leader and Ogbaru growth and development compassionate, Hon. Ogene charged the newly inaugurated campaign organization to go all out for victory and not to leave any stone unturned towards galvanizing and mobilizing the support of the entire Ogbaru people, especially the grassroots in the forthcoming general election. He, however, sounded a note of warning to the effect that the campaigns must be professionally executed in the most civil, modest and politically acceptable best practices, in line with the dictates of Nigeria’s new Electoral Act.
He equally unequivocally and emphatically disassociated himself from every form of electoral/campaign violence .
In the same vein, the Labour Party Candidate for Ogbaru 2 Constituency, His Youthfulness, Hon. Barr. Nonso Nwaebili, who came with some members of his team, lent his voice of encouragement and devotion by urging the entire campaign organization leaders to say No to political mischievousness, betrayal and thuggery. He expressed optimism of certain cruise to victory for the whole Labour Party Candidates in Ogbaru Federal and State Constituencies, come 2023.
Hon. Stephen Nnaemezie (Egbejiejeogu) from Ogbaru Constituency 2, who served as Okpoko Liaison Officer to former Governor Peter Obi and one-time President General of Mbosi Community, as well as former APC Anambra State House of Assembly candidate in 2015, praised Hon. Ogene for his quality, efficient, effective, proactive, pragmatic and robust representation during his first tenure in the House of Representatives.
Hon. Nnaemezie enjoined the people to show dexterity, temerity, commitment and unity of purpose in discharging their duties, which will culminate in the much anticipated victory in the forthcoming general election come 2023.
In their responses, all the appointed leaders from the top to bottom courageously and excitedly accepted to work for his well awaited and envisaged victory come 2023.
The leaders also swore, officially, to carry out their legitimate duties without compromise or any negligence. And to uphold the tenets of peaceful and violence free campaign activities.
Hon. Ogene thanked and lauded the zest, dedication and commitment of all his supporters, well-wishers and his work force for the unflinching support thus far towards the actualization of the victory goal which will take Ndi Ogbaru to greater heights of infrastructural, human capital, economic and social development going forward.
