I must commend and bless you as Christ will reward and never forsake you
Catholic Archbishop of Abuja Archdiocese, His Grace, Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama has urged youth to be focused, disciplined and show humility at all times to attain greater height in the society.
He gave the advice on Saturday during his homily at the 2022 Abuja Archdiocesan Youth Day organised by the Catholic Youth Commission.
The event had Catholic Youths drawn from parishes of the five Area Councils of the FCT.
The theme of the event is ‘Mary Arose and went with Haste’, extracted from Luke chapter 1verses 39.
According to him, good virtues such as obedience and showing humility lead to being focused and sacrificing for Christ which amounts to success.
He commended the youths for sacrificing their all for Christ, saying it is a sure way of succeeding in life.
The Archbishop admonished the youth to returned to Christ from any fallen path in their lives, to make up with Christ and help build a crime-free society.
He prayed God to help the youth as they refuse to follow the worldily way.
“In spite of the many challenges in the world and as the youths were mostly affected, they have not given up.
“I must commend and bless you as Christ will reward and never forsake you,” he said, and enjoined them to pray for the clergies as they might face temptations.
