An Ikeja based medical facility in Lagos, Duchess International Hospital has given an update on the health condition of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
In a statement made available by the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Adedoyin Dosunmu-Ogunbi on Monday, July 29, the hospital said Osinbajo has continued to make progress following a successful operation to repair a fracture of his right femur (thigh bone) on Saturday.
He promised to continue updating the public on the state of his health.
His words, “The Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, GCON continues to make good progress at the Duchess International Hospital, Ikeja.
“Following a successful operation to repair a fracture of his right femur (thigh bone) on Saturday, His Excellency is now receiving physiotherapy and mobilising quite well on crutches.
“The aim of this stage of treatment is to reduce weight-bearing on his right leg while promoting healing and rehabilitation towards his usual active state.
“All aspects of the Vice President’s post-operative care have proceeded satisfactorily so far.
“His multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and allied health practitioners are extremely pleased with his progress”, he said.
