365Daily – The main opposition political party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has constituted a Vice Presidential Candidate Screening Committee (VPSC) as the deadline for submission of candidates names to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC winds up.
The PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Debo Ologunagba made this known in a statement he issued in Abuja on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
He said, “Pursuant to Part VI, Paragraph 14 of the the Electoral Guidelines of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the National Working Committee (NWC) has approved the nomination of the following Party members to serve on the Vice Presidential Candidate Screening Committee for the screening/verifying of the nominated Vice Presidential Candidate of our Party for the 2023 general elections”.
Ologunagba gave names of the Committee members to include High Chief Tom Ikimi as the Chairman, Capt. Idris I. Wada (rtd), Chief Osita Chidoka, Rt. Hon. Binta Bello, Chief Mrs. Alh. Mutiat Adedoja as members.
Others are Rt. Hon. Austin Opara, Prof. Aisha Madawaki, Mrs. Ayotunde George-Ologun, Chief Mrs. Chidiebelu Mofus, Fidelis Tapgun while Dr. Akilu Indabawa and Mr. Sunday Omobo will serve as Secretary and Administrative Secretary respectively.
He said the screening exercise will hold at the National Working Committee (NWC) Hall, PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 10am.
