365Daily – Former governor of Anambra state and Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential aspirant, Peter Obi, has described as untrue, the rumour that he had emerged as consensus candidate among the party’s aspirants from the South East.
The former governor in a statement by his media office, said that nothing of such had happened.
According to him, the truth remains that the South East aspirants met in Abuja and part of what they discussed was the issue of consensus, about which no concrete decision had been arrived at.
The prominent presidential aspirant insisted that to say that he had already been chosen was not true since follow up actions were yet to be taken.
He then urged the public to disregard the news as being circulated as untrue.
