•••Calls On Akpabio To Declare Interest Now
Delta State Chapter of the Godswill Akpabio Uncommon Transformational Support Organization (GAUTSO) says it received the news of the All Progressives Congress( APC) zoning of the Presidency to the South with nostalgia, calling on the Minister, NIger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, to declare his interest in the office now.
Speaking in Asaba, the Delta State capital on during the week at the inauguration of the Delta state chapter of GAUTSO, the State Coordinator, Hon Patrick Nwanze, stated that ” with the news of the zoning of the office of the president to the south, it is an opportunity that the best person for the job from the area, in the person of Senator Godswill Akpabio,should not allow to slide.”
“The inauguration of GAUTSO in Delta state is to ensure that the state joins the long list of GAUTSO groups calling on the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio to come out in 2023 and contest for the Presidency of Nigeria”.
Nwanze noted that “Senator Akpabio is the Best Man for the job considering his uncommon method of problem-solving for a lasting solution and following through with projects for community development and the environment. This was clearly seen when he was governor in Akwa Ibom State; where among many achievements, he provided a lasting solution to the ecological challenges of Akwa Ibom state by initiating an effective flood control system in the state and its environs.”
He emphasized that the plethora of awards Senator Akpabio received while he was Governor between 2007 and 2015 were pointers to the sterling qualities of uncommon transformational leadership.
” The entire media industry in Nigeria took turns to pour encomiums on him due to his uncommon achievement when he served as Governor – and this has continued to linger seven years after leaving office. Some of the awards include: Governor of the Year 2012, (Leadership Newspaper); Man, of the Year 2011 (Sun Newspaper); Man, of the Year 2010: (National Daily Newspaper); Man, of the Year 2019; (Daily Independent Newspaper), Best Governor in Nigeria and Outstanding Human Brand, 2010: Billboard World and more recently, Minister of the Year 2021 (The Independent Newspaper), just to mention a few.
