365Daily– The swearing in ceremony of the new Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo was temporarily turned into a boxing arena as the wife of the outgone Governor, Mrs Eberechukwu Obiano and the widow of Biafra leader, Chief Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu engaged each other in a fighting bout.
Mrs Obiano threw the first punch when on her arrival to Government House, Awka just as Soludo was taking oath of office as governor, she walked straight to where Ambassor Ojukwu was seated close to Prof. Soludo’s wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo and confronted her with abuses.
She shouted, “You’re a bitch, you’re a bitch, I think you said we won’t be governor?”
In retaliation, Mrs Ojukwu gave her a slap, and Mrs Obiano went straight to her head cover and started dragging it before security operatives and dignitaries rushed and separated them.
All the while, Obiano was seated looking straight at the podium where Professor Soludo was signing oath of office as Governor being guided by the state Chief Judge, Justice Anyachebelu.
Immediately Soludo walked down from the podium, Obiano moved straight, embraced and congratulated him, and, was driven away with his wife even before Soludo inspected the guard of honour mounted for him by the men of the state police command.
Obiano did not make any speech.
In his opening address Governor Soludo who pledge he would not disappoint people of state, but, would do the state proud said ‘Anambra is a peaceful state”.
Dignitaries present at the event include Archbishop Valerian Okeke, Prof. Pat Utomi, Sir Emeka Offor, Dr. A. B .C Ojiako, senators Uche Ekwunife, Victor Umeh, Speaker Anambra state House of Assembly, Hon. Uchenna Okafor, Hon. Ben Nwankwo, Igwe Chris Onyekwuluje, APGA national Chairman, Chief Victor Oye, Reps members Chinedu Obidigwe, Dozie Nwankwo and many others.
