The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara has embarked on a reconciliation strategy to woo back all aggrieved members of the party.
The state Chairman of the party, Mr Sunday Fagbemi, said this on Wednesday at the inauguration of the new APC state executives in Ilorin.
Fagbemi assured members of the party of his readiness to reconcile all the aggrieved members of the party.
According to him, efforts are ongoing to woo the aggrieved members for a team work and party progress.
“We are a big family as a party. We will not relent in our efforts to unite the party. No room for division.
“We will instill discipline within the party and put our house in order to avoid any crack before the 2023 elections.
“We want to deliver victory for APC across board and not only in Kwara,” he said.
The chairman advised party aspirants to embark on their ambition with sense of decorum and sportsmanship.
“Let us play politics with maturity and as well shun do-or-die politicking. Don’t castigate anybody all in the name of campaign.
“Learn how to accept the outcome and play politics with sense of responsibility,” he said.
Fagbemi also advised aspirants and the new officials to emulate the leadership qualities of Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.
He described the governor as a humble and mature leader, who always focus on work and not to play politics with the life of his people.
Fagbemi added that Kwara has witnessed tremendous change and transformation in all sectors since the assumption of AbdulRazaq in 2019.
He pointed out the level of development in the areas of infrastructures and education sector where the state has become the envy of the world.
“Gov. AbdulRazaq has changed the story of Kwara for good. We can see road projects, schools renovation, health sectors and the economy boom in the state.
“Gov. AbdulRazaq is committed to better the life of the masses. He is planning to do more and will never get tired,” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the new party executives were sworn in by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Mr Joseph Ashaolu.
