365Daily– The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 24 new cases of COVID-19 in six states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
No fatality has been recorded from the virus for nine days.
The NCDC made this known on Monday, February 28, 2022.
The figure, which was reported for Sunday, February 27, 2022, increased Nigeria’s total number of COVID-19 cases to 254,525, it stated.
According to the agency, Abia had the highest with seven cases, followed by Lagos, Edo and the FCT with six, four, three cases respectively.
Kaduna State reported two cases, while Osun and Rivers reported one case each.
NCDC disclosed further that 20 people recovered from the virus on Sunday and have been discharged from isolation centres across the country.
It said in total, the country’s active COVID-19 cases stands at 2,471, with 3,142 deaths.
