365Daily– The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday said it has filed N2.9 billion fraud charges against the immediate past Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha at an Abuja High Court.
Okorocha is presently the Senator representing Imo west at the Nigerian Senate.
The anti-graft body added that the charges were filed on Monday, January 31, 2022.
Okorocha was accused of allegedly conspiring with others, including a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and five companies, to steal N2.9 billion public funds.
Other accused are Anyim Nyerere Chinenye, Naphtali International Limited, Perfect Finish Multi Projects Limited, Consolid Projects Consulting Limited, Pramif International Limited and Legend World Concepts Limited.
