365Daily – A former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, has asked for prayers from the public over his current health situation, after a recent surgery.
Metuh pleaded that people should forgive whatever misgivings they may have had about him over his past actions or utterances in the political space and pray for God’s intervention and healing for him.
He disclosed that he received some scary news from his doctors but said that he was hoping that God’s intervention would see him through, hence the plea for prayers from Nigerians.
This plea was made on his social media pages on Friday, January 21, 2022, accompanied by his photo in a hospital bed.
He said, “In the last one year, I have had many surgeries and procedures and I am believing God this will be my last. No matter how angry you’ve been about my outspokeness or outright naked challenge to power back then, please pray for me.
“The cankerworm had eaten deeply into my health, it has not been easy and I have only remained whole through the mercies of God. I got some scary news from the surgeons today but my faith remains in God Almighty and with your prayers and by His stripes I am healed and would remain whole in Jesus name.”
His health challenges apparently came to the public domain while he was in detention going through trial over corruption allegations. On several occasions, he was brought to court on a stretcher, but many had dismissed his ill health claim as a gimmick to manipulate the court process.
