Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has enjoined Christian faithful to imbibe the good virtues of Jesus Christ in their daily activities.
The governor made the call in Bauchi on Friday when he received the executive secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Rev. Yakubu Pam, who paid him a visit.
He urged Christians to shun divisive tendencies, partiality and other inimical practices capable of jeopardizing their internal cohesion, understanding and togetherness.
He assured that his administration will continue to build infrastructure, enhance education, health and security of lives and property of the people, especially considering the relative peace recorded in the state.
“We have provided a level-playing field for constructive engagements as justice and fairness are the bedrock of prosperity,” he said.
Gov. Mohammed emphasized that his administration would continue to depend and protect the right of the minority through entrenchment of peace and tranquility in the state.
Earlier in his remarks, the Executive Secretary lauded the governor for sponsoring no fewer than 300 Christian pilgrims to Jordan during the last pilgrimage exercise. (NAN)
