A young man simply identified as Sammy or Samuel, has allegedly killed his brother, Abraham/Mimi aka Mk. Amani, over an internet fraud deal.
The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Ughoton, Sapele, Delta State.
According to a blog, Sapele Tafia Network, the brothers who have the same father but different mothers were alleged to have been involved in internet fraud known as yahoo yahoo.
Mk. Amani was said to have told his elder brother that he had a ‘client’ and expecting about 15million naira before Wednesday but would have 12million naira to himself after settling others in the transaction.
The story continued: “He opened up to his elder brother Sammy who already had access to all the dealings of the deceased.
“A day before yesterday (Saturday, December 11), Samuel called his brother that he wanted them to go fishing at Ughoton river but Samuel declined that he can come over for the fishing yesterday (Sunday, 12) morning as seen in their chat.
“When he got there, yesterday (Sunday) morning, Samuel allegedly pushed Amani into the river but Amani’s baby mama came, raised alarm and people went into the river to rescue him.
“Samuel who had failed in his bid to kill the victim rushed him into a tricycle (Keke) in a guise to take him to the hospital and himself with other two of his friends, took Amani to Otu-Jeremi but before they got to the hospital, they had allegedly stabbed the victim on his throat (neck) since he escaped being killed in the river.
“Getting to Otu-Jeremi general hospital, they confirm him dead.
“The father allegedly hid Samuel who is on the run on a flimsy excuse that he cannot lose two sons at the same time.
“The mother of Amani is highly traumatised with serious blood pressure right now and cannot even talk about the incident that happened to her son.
“We shall not stand down on this. The father must provide Samuel to face the wrath of the law. They even refused to make an official report to the police. What sort of evil are we breeding.
