365Daily– Prof Ifeoma Linda Utomi, a renowned orthodontist, will take the podium at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos state, Wednesday, as she delivers her inaugural lecture.
Prof. Ifeoma is also the wife of popular Professor Pat. Utomi.
She will be speaking on “Beauty, Braces and Being: Restoring the smile, transforming the life”.
Prof. Utomi is expected to use the platform to give further insight to the academic community about her research in the linkages between dental care, and physical and emotional well-being.
The event will take place on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.
She is a professor of Orthodontics/Consultant Orthodontist, Department of Dental Health, Faculty of Dentistry, at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos.
Prof Utomi’s particular focus is on early treatment and special needs individuals as part of Oral Health and Dental Management.
She studied medicine (Dentistry) and graduated from the University of Lagos in 1984. Prof Ifeoma Utomi earned a fellowship at the West African College of Surgeons in 1999 and
has been in teaching, research and training as a lecturer, senior lecturer and Associate Professor.
She has mentored a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate students. She is a member of the Nigerian Association of Orthodontists, the World Federation of Orthodontists, and the American Association of Orthodontists.
