365daily – Strive Masiyiwa, the Zimbabwean born Executive Chairman and founder of the telecommunications giant Econet, has called for continuous prayers for Leah Sharibu, Nigerian school girl kidnapped by terrorists in 2018, at the age of 15.
The telecommunications entrepreneur, described Leah who is still in captivity as “A hero of faith”.
Masiyiwa made this call in a post on his Facebook page on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Leah’s image is also displayed on the popular business man’s social media profile.
According to him, “Leah turned 18 this year, on 14 May. I still pray for Leah every single day, remembering her amazing courage, which I shared about here years ago: While some girls kidnapped that day were released, Leah refused to renounce her Christian faith.
“Please join me in continuing to pray for Leah’s health, and for her safe release, as well as all the release of other young girls (and boys, too) who are being held hostage.
“May their captors find the grace to let these young people go home safely to their families.”
Young Leah Sharibu was among the more than 100 girls taken hostage by Boko Haram terrorists who invaded the Government Girls Science and Technical College in Dapchi, Yobe State, on the evening of February 19, 2018.
