365Daily – The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has established contact with some of the victims trapped in the 21-Storey building that collapsed on Gerard Road, Ikoyi.
This is according to the South West Coordinator of the agency, Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye.
He made the disclosure this to newsmen on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.
Farinloye said that the victim spoke to one of his relatives and said he was among some of the workers who had gathered around the mustard point in the building when it collapsed.
The NEMA Coordinator stressed that rescue operations were in top gear, with caution, to ensure that victims who were still alive would come out unhurt.
365Daily had reported that the 21-storey building of luxury apartments located in Ikoyi, Lagos State, collapsed on Monday, November 1, 2021, with a yet to be ascertained number of people trapped in the building.
