365Daily – Erstwhile ardent critic of President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC), former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has finally dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC.
He was presented to President Muhammadu Buhari by the Chairman of APC’s Caretaker Committee, Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, and the Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawale, at the Presidential Villa on Thursday, September 16, 2021.
In a chat with State House Correspondents after the meeting, Fani-Kayode disclosed that he decamped from the PDP in the interest of national unity, saying he has friends across party lines.
He credited the defection of three PDP Governors – Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Ben Ayade of Cross River State and Bello Matawale of Zamfara State- to himself, adding that he was wooing the Governors of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi; Oyo State, Seyi Makinde and the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed to join the APC.
