365Daily – Prominent Nigerian philanthropist and business magnet, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, Chairman, BUA Group and BUA Foundation, is billed to be honoured by the body of private medical practitioners in Nigeria, for his outstanding, selfless contributions to the upliftment of humanity, particularly in the health sector.
As part of its Centenary anniversary celebration, the group, Association of General and Private Medical Practitioners of Nigeria (AGPMPN), plans to honour some distinguished Nigerians who have contributed immensely to the development of Nigeria’s health sector.
The association said that Alhaji Rabiu fittingly stands out among the nominees, especially for the huge impact he has continued to make in Nigeria’s healthcare system.
In recognition of all he has done to improve healthcare delivery in Nigeria, Dr. Iyke Odo, National President of AGPMPN, wrote in the letter conveying his nomination, ” We recognize and appreciate your selfless, patriotic and philanthropic efforts and contributions overtime, in the health sector in Nigeria, especially your laudable footprints in the fight against COVID-19, where you made huge financial and material donations, in support of the Federal, State Governments and several health institutions, all for the safety and betterment of humanity.
“For these laudable acts of patriotism, you have deservedly earned the nomination for our Centenary Award in the Individual Achiever & Philanthropy category for Special Impact on Nigeria’s Health Sector.”
The event will take place on Thursday August 12, 2021, at the Africa Hall of the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja.
Dr. Odo, disclosed that the centenary event would be a platform for the private sector to help proffer solution to Nigeria’s myriad problems in healthcare delivery system.
The award programme will be preceded by a national dialogue on healthcare delivery in Nigeria to be chaired by a former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani, same day.
