365Daily – Dominic Obukadata Oneya (rtd), former military administrator of Kano is dead.
Oneya, who was also a president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) between 1999 to 2002, died at the age of 73.
He served in various capacities in CAF committees and recently headed the Ministerial Committee on Reforms in Nigerian Football
365Daily gathered that he passed on Thursday morning at his Effurun GRA residence in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
The deceased hailed from Agbarho Kingdom of Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta.
He was Military Administrator of Kano State from August 1996 to August 1998 during the military regime of General Sani Abacha.
Oneya was also a military Administrator of Benue State.
He served there from August 1998 to May 1999 when democracy was restored.
