365Daily – The social media space is awash with a picture which shows one of the longest serving Senators, James Manager, who represents Delta South Senatorial District in the Red Chamber, kneeling before former Delta State Governor, Chief Onanefe James Ibori.
The location is uncertain but could be in the latter’s Oghara, Delta State residence.
Manager, 61, appeared to be begging Ibori in the shot.
The purpose of the obeisance is unclear, but may be connected to the Senator’s ambition to clinch the Governorship seat of the State in 2023.
Ibori, who served jailterm in the United Kingdom for money laundering, wields a lot of influence in determining who emerges the Governor of the oil-rich state.
The Ijaw ethnic group, to which the Senator belongs, has been advocating for a chance in running the affairs of the state. The present Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, is from the Delta Ibo group, while his predecessor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, is of Urhobo descent.
