365Daily – The House of Representatives has passed the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB), 2021.
This followed the passage of the Bill for third reading on the floor of the House on Thursday, July 1, 2021.
The report was laid before the House at plenary on Wednesday, June 30.
Chairman of the House Adhoc Committee on the PIB, Hon. Mohammed Tahir Mongunu, moved for the consideration of the motion.
“That the House do consider the Report of the Ahoc Committee on Petroleum Industry Bill on an Act to Provide Legal, Governance, Regulatory and Fiscal Framework for the Nigerian Petroleum Industry, the Development of Host Communities; and for Related Matters, 2021 (HB. 1061) and approve the Recommendations therein,” he prayed.
The prayer was approved when put to vote by the presiding officer.
