365Daily – Hours after an attack on his residence, the convener of Yoruba nation rally, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has announced the suspension of the event.

He made the disclosure while speaking to BBC News Pidgin in an interview on Thursday, July 1, 2021.

The rally was to hold in Lagos on Saturday.

Igboho’s residence in Soka, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, was attacked by gunmen in the wee hours of Thursday.

Seven people were reportedly killed in the attack.

Igboho is leading a call for the creation of a Yoruba nation in the Southwest.
