The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Lagos Chapter, on Wednesday inaugurated a newly-elected eight-man executive board to pilot its affairs in the next three years.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the new board members were sworn-in by a lawyer, Mr Olugboyega Oshikoya, at the NTA Channel 10 Office, Tejuoso, Lagos State.
At the chapter’s election held May 27, Mr Emeka Rising had polled 95 votes to emerge the Chairman.
He defeated Moji Ayetayo who secured 31 votes.
The other executives elected are Bukky Fagbuyi (Vice Chairman), Babajide Ogunlana (General Secretary), Olamileka Ojora-Akanbi (PRO/Director of Communication) and
Emmanuel Onyika (Director of Guild Services).
The others are Shedrac Itua (Chief Whip),
Julius Omijie (Treasurer) and
Joan Chioma Obi (Assistant Secretary).

The inauguration on Wednesday provided an opportunity for signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between AGN and AllNews Media.
It was also used to inaugurate the AGN Marketing Committee saddled with the task of getting sponsorship and promotions for its activities.
Mr Femi Branch, Vice President of South West of AGN, congratulated the new executives, describing the election as free and fair.
